4Km from Wellawaya town on Tissamaharama road. This place can be reached after going about 3 km on the side road in front of Budruvagala School after 4 km.

7 sculptures, which are considered to belong to the 9th and 10th centuries AD, are found at this place. Considered as one of the seven Mahayana sculptures, there is the main Buddha in the center and 3 attendant statues on each side. The main Buddha in the center is about 51 feet tall, and is currently considered the tallest statue in Sri Lanka. The main Buddha seated on a Padma Peetha in Samabhanga posture depicts the Abhaya Mudra on the right. Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, Tara Deity and Prince Sudhana are sculpted between the attendant figures on the right. On the left are the Maitreya Bosat image, the Vajrapani Bodhi animal image and a deity image that is difficult to identify. Lanka can be introduced as a collection of Buddha and Bodhisattva sculptures completed with Mahayana inspiration.
